A little background on how this passion began….
I had bikes as a lad and used to be the mechanic for my group of motorcycling friends. We had no specialist tools, but we got by.
I always wanted a Triumph Bonneville, but could never afford one on my apprentice Carpenter’s wage. The best bike I had at this time was a BSA A7 Shooting Star…….what a great machine!
In 1988 I started restoring unit construction Triumphs to an original specification. I’ve always prided myself on the devotion needed to complete the job, and the precision necessary to do the job right.Twenty five years on, and I’m more enthusiastic than ever.
My pride in my work, and my enthusiasm for restoration led me to the challenge of competition. I have been very successful in concours events over many years, with the main highlights being winning Best in Show at the Stafford International Bike Show in 1998 and 2013.
